Michigan 17th District Court

The 17th District presides over the City of Redford. There are two judges, Karen Khalil and Charlotte Wirth. Judge Khalil is the Court’s first female and Judge and has been there for 20 years. In my opinion, she is a good jurist who has given my clients several favorable rulings over the years. She was also a fan of the legal television talk show that I was on several years ago.

Judge Wirth has been on the bench since 1999 and was in private practice for almost 20 years which is a plus. Both judges are reasonable when it comes to sentencing and overall, the 17th District Court is a good place to practice law.

The Redford City Attorney, Michael Bosnick, is also a defense attorney and has been good to work with over the years.
