37th District Court Cases

This district court has jurisdiction over misdemeanors, civil cases of $25,000 or less, landlord tenant disputes (such as land contracts) and other small claims cases. They also have jurisdiction over felony cases to determine probable cause and administer preliminary examinations and civil infractions like parking and traffic violations. The 16th Judicial Circuit Court (Macomb County) hears appeals for cases handled by the 37th District Court.
