Driver’s License Restoration Lawyers in Michigan
We Guarantee* Your Results and Do Not Stop Working Until You Are Successful
Licensed driving is a privilege but in Michigan, it’s also necessary to get to work. We know how important it is to a person or family’s well being. That is why we take license restorations very seriously because our clients do too. We perform about 100 license restorations and win 98% of them. That is why we are able to guarantee results. You will be successful but if for some reason you are not, we will keep working until you are for no additional fee.
Why Are We So Successful?
It comes down to two main reasons: preparation and experience. We pay meticulous attention to detail. The Secretary of State requires your Substance Use Evaluation, letters of corroboration, and Petitioner’s Affidavit to be perfect. Any discrepancies or inconsistencies can cost you your license. We have been handling driver license cases for decades and specialize in them. Over the years, we have handled hundreds, if not thousands, of driver license restorations. Have we won every single case? Of course not. But we have learned from past failures and are committed to obtaining the best possible outcome, every single time!
Legal Fees to Get Your License Back
The total flat fee is $3,900.00.
It can be paid in the following installments:
- $1,300 to start
- $1,300 upon submission of the hearing request (usually about 3-4 weeks)
- $1,300 two weeks prior to the hearing (typically six weeks after the hearing request)
Helping You Get Your Driving Privileges Back
Unlike a license suspension in which the license is reinstated automatically after the holder pays the reinstatement fee, when your license has been revoked you have to apply to the courts to have it restored. Additionally, you will have to attend a Driver License Appeal Division Hearing at which the court will determine if your driving privileges will be reinstated. At The Law Offices of Barton Morris, our driver’s license restoration lawyers in Michigan can help you with all aspects of the process and will be by your side in court, ensuring your rights are aggressively defended.
The Process of Having Your Driver’s License Restored
Most commonly, a driver’s license will be revoked for a specified period following a DUI conviction. For example, your license may be revoked for a year if you receive 2 DUI offenses within 7 years, or it may be revoked for 5 years if you receive 3 DUI offenses within 10 years. At the end of your revocation period, you can apply to have your license reinstated.
The reinstatement process involves:
- Reviewing your driving record and conviction history
- Collecting letters that document your sobriety
- Reviewing your personal history
- Evaluating for substance abuse
- Drug testing
During the hearing, your lawyer will present evidence about your case and, afterward, they will handle any follow-up that is necessary. For example, if you are required to have a Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device installed in your car, we will help you obtain the device. If your application is successful, your license will be restored.

Stop your Google search, pick up the phone and retain the services of the best criminal defense team in the state of Michigan. When you hire Barton Morris to represent you, you should be confident in knowing that the lawyers on his team will fight for your legal rights in every way possible. Mr. Morris and his associates legal knowledge is unsurpassed bar none. Although my case was unique, having been on the lam for sixteen years, Mr. Morris was able to prove that the lack of evidence was detrimental to the prosecution and all charges were dismissed. Mr. Morris happened to be the second lawyer that I contacted. The first lawyer said he would take my case for a $10K retainer fee and that I had a long road ahead of me. The next day, I contacted Mr. Morris and knew from our first conversation that I was in good hands with his representation. Stop shopping around and hire Barton Morris today!
