State Laws

Michigan Statute 750.224b – Prohibits a person from manufacturing, selling, offering to sell, or possessing a machine gun or firearm that shoots automatically, a short-barreled shotgun or rifle, mufflers or silencers, and other items deemed to be illegal.

Michigan Statute 750.224c – Prohibits the manufacturing, distribution, sale, or use of armor-piercing ammunition.

Michigan Statute 750.224e – Prohibits individuals from converting a semi-automatic firearm into a fully automatic firearm, along with a ban on teaching others how to create these converted weapons. A fully automatic firearm is one that shoots and loads successive ammunition into the magazine without introducing new pressure on the trigger each time.
