Matthew Roman is currently an associate attorney at The Law Offices of Barton Morris. Matthew has been licensed to practice law since 2013. He attained his Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg Virginia. Prior to attending William and Mary, Matthew graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies.
Matthew concentrates his practice on cannabis law and criminal defense. His practice areas include cannabis business law, cannabis licensing, as well as criminal defense. He has extensive experience defending both misdemeanor and felony marijuana charges, including attaining several dismissals. Matthew also has extensive experience in regards to municipal licensing for cannabis businesses. When not working, he enjoys volunteering at dog rescues. He has extensive experience working with and for start-up companies. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Roman currently teaches business law at Oakland Community College as an adjunct instructor.
